Dry fitting v1 leg with my aluminum horse shoe and have questions on best way to mount the 2 horse shoe. the horse shoe comes in two pieces - back plate and the horseshoe itself.

Here is dilemma, , horseshoe backplate covers all the holes to mount the leg to r2. so I need to install the leg assembly to the droid, then the horse shoe backplate and then the actual horse shoe. and if I need to remove the leg, I need to do the reverse so I can't just glue the horseshoe plate onto leg assembly.

Would people drill and tap a new hole into leg plate to mount horse shoe back plate or is there a better idea?

So that’s what I did! I drilled and tapped holes in the leg but as you can see I used the other holes on the com 8 shim!

dry fitting ladders. wanted to confirm there should be a left and a right leg based on how the ladder is placed onto the leg. One leg should have the larger hole to the left and the other to the right so they align to the foot wiring location. Image. YES??

yes you want the holes to line up so you can easily fish the wires through

Also the bottom ladders you want to test fit the coupler lock if you have version 1 of the legs you will see what you need to shave off on the coupler lock and the ladder to make both fit. Make sure you trim the side on the coupler lock that will provide you the most clearance for the couplers.

I'm going with resin hub inserts. Any modifications to the v1 legs to ensure they fit? I see the circular inner leg support is tabbed.

Just try and dry fit first the inner ring was intended to be removed if you needed a bigger opening for the mount.
