Just getting started (ish) on an R2. I say ish because I've had the dome mostly done for awhile but Ive been in a rut as to where to go from here.

Hello, my name is Colin. I am from Galveston :} I met this super awesome group during the Comic palooza in Houston on 06/21/25
I am starting fresh with no experience with building a droid, but I've always wanted to do it with a burning passion, I just didn't want to waste thousand of dollars for something that didn't work. before I get started on building one I have a few questions:
1 Are all the parts on this website able to make authentic R2 unit?

2 Is there a way I can contact anyone for hand-on-hand help when it comes to the wire portion to make the droid come ALIVE? And if so what would be a good place to contact them?

3 What is the facebook page for this group or any social media platform?

4 If i have general questions, who/where should I ask?

5 If I want to make a droid from aluminum, where/who should I get the material from and where should I have it sent to get water cut if I'm from Galveston Texas?
